How Do I Promote My Music Studio?
In my last blog, I talked about how much music teachers could charge on hourly lesson rates for their private music studio.
Now you know where you want to set your studio, how much time you want to dedicate in teaching lessons and how much to charge for each lesson. So now you have almost everything set up for your studio… except, you need students to teach, right? How do you reach out to potential students to sign up to take lessons with you? Today’s focus will be on how to promote your music studio to your community and online.
Here are some tips on how to promote your music studio:
Creating a Website
Building a website will be the most beneficial because it will help you build your brand and help you become known. Social media pages are amazing and can definitely be impactful in marketing your music studio, but having an established website should be your center point of contact. Also, keeping an updated email is important too!
Your social media pages can help you branch out further by reaching out to people, grabbing their attention, visiting your website and then signing up for music lessons. Some good websites you can build are Weebly, SquareSpace, Wix or WordPress and you can build them for free!
Facebook Business Page
Another option you might think about into promoting your music studio is having a Facebook business page. The way you set up your business page is by having your personal Facebook profile, but it’s pretty easy to set up. You can link your website and other social medias! YouTube Page
As a musician, as a music teacher, it definitely makes sense to have your own YouTube page. Why? Because YouTube is a great source of video blogs or “vlogs”. You could share your performances, music exercises and techniques online. It’s a really great way to advertise your music studio business and reach out to potential music students to sign up for lessons. Also, be sure to link your website and other social media pages on your YouTube account, too. Here’s a helpful page to start a YouTube page.
